Rice is something that everyone comes into contact with every day, and when you go to the supermarket to buy rice, there are many kinds of rice bags on the shelves. The main factor affecting the quality of rice is pests, and to extend the storage time of rice, it is necessary to understand the insect control function of common packaging.

The above test packaging materials were made into packaging bags of the same specification and size, each bag was put into the same quality rice heat seal and put into glass bottles, and then put 20 rice elephants (adults), grain beetles (adults, eggs), rusty red flat valley robbers (adults, larvae, eggs), red valley robbers (adults, larvae, eggs) and sealed with cotton cloth, placed in an incubator at 28 °C and 75% ±5% relative humidity.
The four adult test worms were observed continuously for 7 days, recording their boring patterns, 10 days if they were larvae, and 15 days if they were eggs. The results showed that double-sided coated perforated packaging and single-sided coated perforated packaging had poor insect resistance, and the drilling moth rate could reach 100%, which had no defense against different insect states of the four pests.
Double-sided laminated packaging without perforation, double-sided laminated with inner bag packaging, vacuum packaging, inflatable packaging have good insect resistance, and the drilling rate of the four test insects is 0, which can better prevent stored grain pests as pests. The larvae of the four worms have a higher rate of boring than the adults and are more capable. In general, perforated packaging and uncoated plastic woven bag packaging have poor insect resistance, and unpunched, laminated and composite plastic packaging have good insect resistance.
